A bit of history
The old town of Almsbury was not regularly visited due to a curse that was placed upon the town. An elderly woman sought shelter from a villager on a stormy night. The villager turned down the old woman because she was so old and he wanted work in return for keeping her the night. The woman became furious and cursed the town, putting the Plague upon the people. The virus wiped out many of the villagers, except a certain few for their own reasons. Now it is years later when the town is completely free of the curse and the virus and it has been reopened.
